Hello!

I’m one happy woman located in Japan who happens to believe she has received a revelation from heaven telling her to build a web site dedicated to Stephen Gately. (half-joking, half-serious)

Why now? I do not know. It was the 10th anniversary of his death last year (2019) which I didn’t put in my diary, and I certainly do not consider this site a tribute to someone who is no longer here with us to be remembered. (*This is mostly due to the fact that I've known very little about him for the last few decades, which I may write another post about)

In fact, his presence can be felt so strong through his singing voice that I hesitate to declare him dead. If you have the loved ones who passed away, you know what I mean here because you feel they “live in your heart”.

I’m from the same generation as Steo, so you’d think I’m too late to start fangirling, but don’t worry.

I’m aware I’m no match for those innocent buds ready to bloom with their dreams, and I’ve been exposed to the winds that have been taking away from me what I had once believed or loved when I was young.

I’ve been slowly walking down the road to return to the soil (yes, I’m biodegradable), and when I looked up, I found Steo in the sky helping seeds to germinate …End of story.

All I wanted to tell you is that his songs can indeed be enjoyed and appreciated by men and women of all ages and I’m more than happy if you feel the same.
