QUEEN
At his last Boyzone tour in 2009, Steo sung the lead vocal for a couple of Queen songs.

Here's my 3 choices below!
These Are The Days of Our Lives / Innuendo, 1991 Freddie's last appearance on Queen's video. My No.1 choice. I'm 110% sure Steo would have sung this song very beautifully, albeit in a different way from Freddie. |
Sometimes I get to feeling
I was back in the old days, long ago When we were kids When we were young Things seemed so perfect, you know The days were endless We were crazy, we were young The sun was always shining We just lived for fun Sometimes it seems like lately I just don't know The rest of my life's been Just a show Those were the days of our lives The bad things in life were so few Those days are all gone Now but one thing is true When I look and I find I still love you You can't turn back the clock You can't turn back the tide Ain't that a shame? Ooh, I'd like to go back one time On a roller coaster ride When life was just a game No use in sitting and thinking On what you did When you can lay back And enjoy it through your kids Sometimes it seems like lately I just don't know Better sit back and go with the flow 'Cause these are the days Of our lives They've flown In the swiftness of time These days are all gone Now but some things remain When I look and I find no change Those were the days of our lives, Yeah The bad things in life were so few Those days are all gone Now but one thing's still true When I look and I find I still love you I still love you |

Killer Queen (Top Of The Pops, 1974)from the album Sheer Heart Attack (1974) Curious to see how Steo could sing this one! To me, this is their signature song, though I know not many would agree. I simply like the theme uniqueness only a band like Queen can come up with. Freddie says this song is about a woman who ranks high in social strata, but low in spirituality, but is up to every one's own interpretation.

Save Me / The Game (1980) Another beautiful song for Steo to sing! By the way, my most favorite is It's A Hard Life and I really thought they could have put this song for the end credits of the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. Not because it's my favorite, but because I feel that he sings his life in this song. I can see why they chose The Show Must Go on though, but to me, that was just an easy choice. |
This site is about half way to completion, and I feel like slowing down a little now, for
it would be sad to have nothing more to update. Having Steo song collection completed here would be great though, but still.
Having this page sitting next to Snow Queen is just a coincidence by the way.
I first met Queen in a beginner English lesson on radio. I naturally became a fan, asking my parents to play their music during the drive.I grew up with their music, though the time I started learning English was a couple of years after Freddie's passing. I never had a chance to see them live, just like the case of Steo ( and Boyzone ). I treasured their CDs a lot because once I played their live performance, I could feel the atmosphere and energy. It was like I was invited to their concerts, too.
Several years later, I did have a chance to see Queen's spirit live when I was staying in England. It was the musical We Will Rock You. I'm not into theater all that much, but obviously I couldn't miss Queen one. It was fantastic. I felt that the musical was created to repay Queen, thanking the love they've given us. It was only 10 minutes or so into the show when someone cut onions and I couldd't see the stage because of my tears.
They say Freddie wanted to be a legend. Considering all the praises he gets everywhere in the world accelerated by the success of the film Bohemian Raphosdy, he must be very satisfied watching us from above, isn't he?
I don't necessarily think so. Especially if his soul is now blessed with the truth in Heaven.
Why? I'm not much of a frequent internet user, but even I can't help noticing how the New World Order is more than a conspiracy theory these days.
Yes, that Satanism to separate people from the creator, ( the source ) leading us to both mental and physical self-destruction. They say the celebrities, your favorite queens and kings of pop, are mere puppets to carry out the satanic plan.
I won't go into the details because there are already plenty of materials out there. Boyzone fans can easily find one coming from Shane Lynch, by googling his name and the keyword "devil/Christian". ( one sample here) His story is a postivie one, so you may want to check it if you haven't.
So, buried under the Freddie worship lies a rumor about how Bohemian Raphody is a satanic song, which they say is obvious in the lyric, "Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me."
Do I believe them? Hell no. I do admit though, the musical may be full of New Word Order ideas if you look at it that way, but at that time, I knew nothing about this occult practice, so I managed to enjoy it as pure entertainment.
Now I'm not very sure if I can look at it the same way I used to, and I certainly don't admire Freddie the way many other fans do. I'd rather see him as a "real", very sensitive person who has gone through a mountain of struggles, and Bohemian Rhapsody is just an example that shows it, nothing more.
They say the video of It's a Hard Life is full of Satanist symbols. Even after having educated on those things to a certain degree, I don't know why you have to look at it that way.
If the Satanists stay so irreverent to the holy messages and spiritual teachings for so long, so can we, to their mind-control techniques, no matter how subliminal they may be. I just see the video as nothing more than a "play", and interpret it as a struggle to find a true love in a demonic world. And those costumes are nothing but ( BAD ) jokes...
My point is, you can have as many as 9 devilish songs out of 10, but that one "human" ( not saying holy ) song can be the only one that is real, and that matters.
I've got to admit Freddie was indeed "controlled", but that doesn't mean he wasn't saved. It doesn't mean everything coming from his band was a devil's agenda. If so, how can we have a song like this one, "Somebody to Love?" ( my another favourite ). Christianity recognizes human weakness (Buddhism, too) which explains why we need to be compassionate and help each other, so as to find our own solutions in this mortal world.

Indeed, what is really agonizing about this horror story is not how dark it is, but rather, how those Satanist influences are both underestimated and exaggerated at the same time.
I see people blaming the Satanists full of hatred and keep posting disturbing images and news about them over and over, making me wonder if they've ended up becoming their promoter after all.
You shouldn't really be arguing with your hypothetical enemy either; the chances are, you'll eventually find yourself becoming more self-righteous and dependent on logic alone to convince people that you are fighting the evil in order to save the world.
Surely it shouldn't come as a surprise that the Satanists also appear as a philanthropist to disguise their true intentions, talking about all these positive things such as peace, love, equality, and health, while selling deadly weapons and chemicals.
They offer entertainment to distract our attention, agitate us to fight against our own government when the latter needs to be our very guardian.
I also often see those revealers and debunkers are actually those who come from the group, meaning, their true mission is to hide what/who is at play by complication and misinformation.
What can you believe in this world of lies and hypocrisies then?
You've only got yourself to believe, haven't you?
I personally feel people should wake up by self reflection, trying to see if you are becoming egoistic just like demons or not.
After all, they've been here for thousands of years.
It's just that with an almighty tool called media, they are finding it easy
to manipulate and deceive people all the more.
-... Then the devil led Jesus to the top of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and all the wonderful things in them. The devil said, "If you will bow down and worship me, I will give you all these things" Jesus said to him, “Get away from me, Satan! The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God. Serve only him!’”-

I will talk a thing or two about religion at another blog post in the near future. I've got a couple of Buddhist stories to share, as well as those of Christianity, indigenous beliefs, and so on.
By the way, I'm not calling myself any-ist although I consider myself a person of faith.
I simply don't like being dogmatic nor interested in creating self-identities of any sort. I'm being myself by being nobody.
The old world order
Oh, no. No more space left to discuss Victorian morality here!
But that's Okay, I don't mean to be preaching nor can I. I just wanted to mention that I've read a Queen Victoria's lovely biography, written by a Japanese author. It is full of visual materials which include Queen VIctoria's own sketches of people around her, that helps the readers feel quite close to both the era and the Queen herself, as a person, rather than as an authority.
The author studies maids/ butlers' lives and have published very good books on them, and her latest book focuses on the average noble ladies' obsession and ordeals they had to deal with in their endless social lives characterized by partying, after graduating from the peaceful, luxurious countryside days in their childhood.
So naturally, her book on Queen Victoria has a pretty realistic view of what it's like to be a queen at that time. It covers both bright and dark aspects of her royal life and the society as a whole. Even with her detached attitude in writing, I couldn't help but be impressed by the love both Albert and Victoria have shared. Albert was such a workaholic, and it sure takes more than blue blood to be a queen, even with a help of her dedicated husband. Her fiery personality and determination seem to have been offset by the traditional values and roles of women, and those were her ideas, too.
It is fairly well known that they both have set trends in the major events in peoples' lives beyond the seas; Albert: Christmas tree he brought from his home country, Germany & Victoria: White wedding dress.
The set of morality they've imposed on the society to better rule the world could only be seen as nothing but an obstacle to a liberal society we are today, but I do believe there is something that needs to be protected which may precede our idea of individual rights.

I like Royal Albert bone china, but I don't think we got one at home. My auntie got ones, and she promised she'll give her bone china collection to me ( not just Royal Alberts'. As you may know, Royal Albert is known for its affordability ) as a memento, but hey, I don't know who lives longer.
She's a passionate lady who wants to experience all good and bad of a human life and indeed a tough one!
