Wanna Be Where You Are

One of the few live performances from his album, New Beginning.

This was actually my least favourite song of his. I was wrong. There turned out to be no such things as "the least favourite" for his songs. This live performance changed my impression of this song. As usual, he sings for a song, giving life to it through his heart while enjoying singing. Thanks to this performance of his I came to appreciate this little different taste in his song collection.

God created all days of a week equal...

I thought I should add a video of him traveling, and found a video below. The video starts from the part where he was featured during the trip with his mates.

He looks good in almost all the glasses he picked, but what drew my attention more is how he was treating these young female stalkers. Yes, in "Wanna Be Where You Are" he's the one who stalks, but here he is stalked, which I imagine is what happened to him way more often than verse versa...! I knew he was very polite to the fans, but keeping one's calm in a situation like this must not be always easy. The way he interacts with these girls doesn't even seems like a fan service to me in that he doesn't really seem to be putting himself above the girls but be the one who just happens to be busy at that time. He's just a respectful man.
The smaller ones waving at him at the end are so adorable, too.

Lastly, let me dedicate one of my favourite Carpenters' songs here, which popped up in my head when I was creating this page.
This is a lovely, beautiful song which sings about the special life journey only made possible by caring for each other, each day, cherishing every moment.

We've Only Just Begun

Cover song: written by Roger Nichols and Paul Williams /From the album "Close to You" (1970)

We've only just begun to live
White lace and promises
A kiss for luck and we're on our way
We've only begun

Before the rising sun, we fly
So many roads to choose
We'll start out walking
And learn to run
And yes, we've just begun

Sharing horizons that are new to us
Watching the signs along the way
Talkin' it over, just the two of us
Workin' together day to day, together

And when the evening comes, we smile
So much of life ahead
We'll find a place
Where there's room to grow
And yes, we've just begun

Sharing horizons that are new to us
Watching the signs along the way
Talkin' it over, just the two of us
Workin' together day to day, together
Together

And when the evening comes, we smile
So much of life ahead
We'll find a place
Where there's room to grow
And yes, we've just begun

I believe Steo is the one who is well aware of the necessity of caring for each other, in a society in which people walk on the same path together, while each makes his or her own choices to live his or her own life.
The video above as well as his heartfelt performances shows it, doesn't it?

Love, Nolla
