You Are Not Alone

They say MJ was his idol... and he sings his song just right!

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be?
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me, why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold?

Every day I sit and ask myself,
"How did love slip away?"
Something whispers in my ear and says

You are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
You are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
You are not alone

'Lone, 'lone

Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
...
Every day I sit and ask myself
"How did love slip away?"
Something whispers in my ear and says

You are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
You are not alone
...
Oh, whisper three words
And I'll come runnin'
And girl you know
That I'll be there
I'll be there

You are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
You are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
You are not alone
'Lone, 'lone
'Lone...

Coming back from the band's hiatus between 2000-2007, Steo's face shines with joy as he devotes himself to dancing and singing...

@Boyzone Back Again No Matter What live 2008 they covered MJ songs, a few of which are led by Steo's vocal.

I'm personally way more familiar with Beatles songs than MJ's, and I wonder why they didn't cover their songs... ! It's not that their style matches the Beatles', but If they can cover MJ, Queen and such, surely they could have IMO.

So, here's my pick for them to sing below.

Why this song? Well, this was one of my Karaoke songs when I was younger... and sounds happy enough for them to sing at their concerts for fun!

Aaaand of course, here comes my "Steo must have covered this Beatles song beautifully" list.

The Long And Winding Road (Remastered 2009)

written by Lennon–McCartney /From the album "Let It Be" (1970)

The long and winding road
That leads to your door
Will never disappear
I've seen that road before
It always leads me here
Lead me to your door

The wild and windy night
That the rain washed away
Has left a pool of tears
Crying for the day
Why leave me standing here?
Let me know the way

Many times I've been alone
And many times I've cried
Anyway, you'll never know
The many ways I've tried

And still they lead me back
To the long and winding road
You left me standing here
A long, long time ago
Don't leave me waiting here
Lead me to your door

But still they lead me back
To the long and winding road
You left me standing here
A long, long time ago
Don't keep me waiting here
Lead me to your door

According to Wiki, Paul commented; "It's rather a sad song. I like writing sad songs, it's a good bag to get into because you can actually acknowledge some deeper feelings of your own and put them in it. It's a good vehicle, it saves having to go to a psychiatrist."

Now come to think of it, why are sad things often beautiful? His comment made me realize that it could be because that sadness can be the result of deeper searching into yourself, which can also help you touch the truth, and that truth is beautiful.

Anyway, in order to stay away from psychiatrists we may need a promising, peaceful song like below, too.

The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun (2019 Mix)

written by George Harrison /From the album "Abbey Road" (1970)

Here comes the sun, doo da doo doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Little darling
It's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling
It feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, doo da doo doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Little darling
The smile's returning to the faces
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darling
I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been clear

Here comes the sun, doo da doo doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Here comes the sun, doo da doo doo
Here comes the sun
It's all right
It's all right

Some may say Steo is more like the moon than the sun, in that he seems to have been more comfortable being a backseat player than the frontman, and that he's definitely a poised, mature, down-to-earth person, but to me, he's the sun.

It's his delicacy in understanding the complexities of human emotions and behaviors that has made him one of the most caring, loving person on earth, whose voice penetrates and melts the frozen hearts of people who are in need of warmth and something beautiful to believe in, so definitely the sun for me ! How about you?

I ended up liking what I got for the background image of this page very much; a couple exchanging love message cards as amulets, maybe?

But hey, I couldn't believe how hard it was to find images of a girl reading a love letter!

People should write love letters by hand! Am I just old or something ? Maybe not eco-friendly enough? Hmph...

Love, Nolla
